Lia Forslund





Lia Forslund is a writer, speaker and lecturer. Her work is interdisciplinary, ranging across categories within communication, specialising in art, design and architecture. As a design writer, she regularly contributes to Icon magazine, Monocle, Disegno, and Kvadrat Interwoven.

Forslund is also a senior strategist who brings an editorial methodology. Launching her career in 2005, Forslund has earned a reputation for combining investigative and attentive brand sprints with strong narratives. In recent years, she has worked with various clients from the tech sector such as IBM and Doconomy, strong hospitality and travel brands like Sheraton and Air France, and global consumer products including Nike and Moncler. 

In 2017, she co-founded Prototypa, a critical forum highlighting the design process, through exhibitions and talks held at Salone del Mobile Milan, London Design Festival, IIDEX Toronto, Madrid Design Festival, Clerkenwell Design Week London and Stockholm Furniture Fair.

Her first monograph book ā€œIā€”Xā€, about Swedish Design Studio Form Us With Love was published in 2015. Awarded by the Swedish Book Art Association in 2017.

Forslund holds a BA from the London College of Communications and an MA from the Royal College of Art, London.
