Lia Forslund is a senior strategist, writer, speaker and lecturer, based in London. Her work is interdisciplinary, ranging across categories within communication, specialising in art, design and architecture.
As a consultant, Forslund works on urban placemaking strategies for mixed-use property developments, situated in Canada, China, Dubai, Japan and Thailand.
Alongside the strategic work, she works as a design writer, regularly contributing to Icon magazine, Monocle, Disegno and Kvadrat Interwoven.
In recent years, Forslund has expanded her practice as visiting lecturer and moderator, with cross-lectures at Ecal in Lausanne, Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm and Royal College of Arts in London.
In 2017, she co-founded Prototypa, a critical forum highlighting the design process, through exhibitions and talks held at Salone del Mobile Milan, London Design Festival, IIDEX Toronto, Clerkenwell Design Week London and Stockholm Furniture Fair.
Her first monograph book “I—X”, about Swedish Design Studio Form Us With Love was published in 2015. Awarded by the Swedish Book Art Association in 2017.
Forslund holds a BA from London College of Communications and an MA from Royal College of Art, London.
